Blimey, interesting act to focus on ;-) The go go one I'm reading at the mo is similarly frustrating....loads of interesting-in-theory stuff on churches, marching bands, local politics...and not quite enough (so far) on the actual history of the music its meant to be about...

Somebody definitely should do a grime book...there's one on amazon that looks like a photo thing that I never checked out, but it needs a history really...

That Mikey (Micky?) Glamour someone mentioned upthread had an absurd amount of reggae mixes last time I looked, variety of eras from memory. Listened to the Dave Katz Lee Perry episodes of On The Wire at the weekend - very good (but not as good as the book - WOW!). You just have to get used to...

On U Sound: again, I'm not saying I dislike em, much of it is great, but I wouldn't say anywhere near all that 80s stuff has aged well yet you never hear anyone saying that...

Wiley (!) "Ski Slope" (B side of "Freeze"): No-one ever mentions this one (& check the lowish viewcount again). Its a lot goofier than his other instros from the time, but I go back to it loads. Just good fun:

UU Madoo & Papa San: Great cheesy dancehall collabo: no-one I've played it to has shown any interest & my occasional references to it online sink like a lead balloon as well -

Snagga Puss "Caan Cook": I have a soft spot for one-trick pony ragga deejays & chauvinist ragga is preferable to misogynist ragga, so...Lowish viewcount again: Daddy Lizard "Gal You Lazy" is another 'classic' in this style, but I can't see a vid of that.
