a dance music album is never gonna get a look in though is it?
apart from the token jazz outfit (which draws on the same tiny pool of musicians from a scene even smaller than ours every year), it's all sunday supplement stuff int it. To their credit, I think the 'urban' entry used to be token as well, but they're reflecting the times a bit more these days on that front.
sort of a shame that the supposedly 'credible' alternative to most UK music awards follows such a rigid formula
