Oh they just came round my house to hassle me about this again. I'd really better get round to doing this.

Dear User of ONS statistics,

You may be aware that the UK Statistics Authority has stated that the
2011 Census is likely to be the last of its kind in the UK.

The ‘Beyond 2011’ Programme has been established by the Office for
National Statistics to take a fresh look at different approaches that
will meet future user needs as an alternative to running a Census in
2021. This work, which covers England and Wales, has the potential to
completely change the way we produce population and socio-demographic
statistics for decades to come.

We are contacting you because, as a previous user of Census or ONS
statistics, we believe you may wish to be kept informed of this work –
or may want to contribute to our consultation which will run from
October to December this year.

Apologies for any cross- posting but we are trying to identify a wide
range of stakeholders to help us make sure that the solution meets the
national requirement.

If you are interested in receiving updates on the progress of the Beyond
2011 Programme please send a reply to beyond2011@ons.gsi.gov.uk.

We will add you to our list of contacts and keep you informed of plans.
We will also send you a link to the consultation once it opens at the
start of October.

Thank you for your time

Beyond 2011
