The mnmlssg guys showcase a lot of really good stuff, but they also seem to be a bunch of whining bastards. There's obviously an important place for negative criticism in blogs etc, but I think it's a lot harder to write interesting negative things things than it is to write interesting positive ones. Especially when you are relentlessly smug about it.

I agree on all accounts here.

Sherburne's writing is sublime, and the mnmlssgs guys writing, (especially Chris') more often than not is just simpleton hyperbole. Still, their coverage of techno today is far better than his, more raver-friendly, more intimate, and more frequent also.
