Funky doesn't have a fundamentally different BPM, the beat matrix is different but the BPM is the same spread as Garage, 125-135 in the main

fair call, I wrote that to talk about the beat matrix then inserted BPM at the end - still, I tend to think garage is clustered around 132-135 while probably the majority of funky djs play at 125-130

I could give examples to dispute both of those points but it's a minor point and I can't be bothered, I agree with you on the whole. Funky isn't a subgenre of Garage it doesn't fit
