where can you see how many copies of everything will be available? i badly want the world of echo LP but if it's only like 100 copies or something and impossible to get i probably won't bother getting out of bed.

Well it was certainly all kinds of sold out by the time I got into the shop. The queues were massive.

Didn't a lot of things get repressed about month later last year.

You can still buy the Grace Jones/dmz 12 in the shops and that was 'superlimitedexclusiveworldwide' last year.

I was at two different stores today which had multiple copies of World of Echo. If that many copies made it to Vancouver, I'm guessing there are more than 150 in existence.

Got to Red Cat at 10 minutes after opening (I overslept) and there was already a line-up of literally about 150 people, all with armfuls of vinyl. Never seen anything like it. Managed to score the Oval /Liturgy split, so I'm happy.

i think record store day is sorta a scam and the equivilant of St Patricks Day for drinkers (ie amateur hour), but i did a radio show about it just the same:

too broke to go. so i resisted temptation. i go to record shops enough already though so dont feel too guilty. soon there will be days for everything though. book shop days. independent fried chicken retailer day. local florist day. all will be dying soon.
