I understand this frustration from years of pfork etc describing all kinds of egregious bullshit as "punk" or "hardcore" but at a certain point you have to just let it go.
personally i want to like it more than i actually do (as a drummer i always want to like zach hill things, but i never do). or, the idea>the execution. i do think they're operating on a much higher level than non-phixion or any of that necro/ill bill stuff which is pretty uniformly terrible. also, the production is better than the vocals.
