I rarely preview a Techno track with much expectation but this caught me by surprise. I get a funky vibe from it.

Model 500 is playing here tonight, both as a live act and as a DJ. I have serious doubts though. I don't think he will ever live up to my expactations as he is the true originator. Anyone ever seen him live? Was it worth the money?

I should go right, maybe I'll bring my No UFO's vinyl with me and have it signed. But we're talking about musical output of more than 20 years ago! It's a bit of a shabby comparison but when talking about legends in their respective scene's I recently saw M.J. Cole and my expactations were so high it turned out to be the worst show I've been to. The guy was playin awful Dutch house. Sometimes these old guys just lose it and that's why I'm wondering what his liveshow is about these days.

Also, I recently saw this video of Model 500 playing in a sort of Kraftwerk formation. Four guys behind some musical device/laptop, I believe there even was a name for this "band", anyone know what I mean and got a link to this video?

you should go. i saw kevin saunderson dj once a handful of years ago and it was one of the best sets i've ever seen, so much fun. sometimes the originators still have it.

Fuck it was so good! Totally lived up to my expectations, so wonderful to hear the music you love so much on a good sound system. It's incredible, some of his tracks are more than twenty years old yet still sound as futuristic as when they got released. Also, this show had the best visuals I've ever seen LOL. During Cosmic Cars they played some cheap car commercials, shiny Mercedes cars on the screen. This one was on repeat for some time:


The guys over at DIS Magazine would have loved this.

I read the quote before seeing who it was attributed to and was certain it was Space Dimension Controller. I remember his RA podcast interview being embarrassing in a similar way, although he also had some goofy "i'm from the future" gimmick going on.

@pattycakes - Doesn't make it any less painful. I'm sure someone will find it delightfully quirky though.
