I've noticed a giddiness. You can see it in the flurries of posts on here sometimes, people have bursts of silliness and hyperactivity.
Who's alone for this? Version and me? Who else? Originally me and Barty were going to move in with Corpsey for the duration but we didn't get the details finalised in time.
they say you shouldn't live with your best friends though, imagine this beautiful thing you guys have here on this platform destroyed because of a fight over a dirty kitchen pan.
yeah, not a good idea to live or work with good friends.
curious, how long did the plate go unwashed?
Happens. I fell out with my best mate from school while we lived in a flatshare in 2002. It was over an unwashed plate and we didn't speak for 8 years.
is anyone else working in a corporate environment but doing home office now? i can't stand these video meetings any more. this morning the ceo had a massive video conference, all 120 of us logged in and he asked us to say hello or goodbye something in our native languages so they can record it and make a little video compilation as a memory of the times we're going trough at the moment. he asked us to do a little dance too, petting ourself on the shoulders as a sign of our hard work. it's so humiliating. naturally i have both my camera and my microphone taped so i'm not on it.
the other day he also announced we have to take our vacation days in april and we might have to work 20% less from may on. then a dozen of colleagues started mailing him (with the whole company in cc) thanking him for his brave decisions and how proud they were working for the company, the one even slimier then the other. are these people just licking his arse or are they really unaware of the fact that we're being exploited?
- Hasn't the shutdown of human activity (by and large) brought into relief how unconcerned with us the rest of nature is? (Leaving aside for a second the incalculable damage we do it all the time.) I mean that I was watching some crows (park again) and thinking about how totally unconcerned they are with this virus. It's just us wot cares. And spring will slowly set on, resplendent, as if everything was fine.
