Interesting, so 3D printing could thrive as a supplemental utility to other, more specific and developed tech. I can see that, whether it be lidar or something else (piezo/flexure tech, etc).
I just wonder what could be enabled by people, especially kids, who have effectively integrated 3D printing into their toolbelt, into their reach, and know when/how to use it.
