Wiley's eski-œuvre

Some additions:

WK002 Wiley "Snowman" (Wiley Kat)
WK003 Wiley "Eskimo" (one sided pressing) (Wiley Kat) [duplicate catalogue number]
WK011 Wiley "Blizzard" (Wiley Kat)
WK031 Wiley & Ruff Sqwad "Jam Pie/Instrumental/Tunnel Vision/Merkle" (Wiley Kat)

Incidently, if anyone's interested in helping me build a Grime discography, I've started slowly working on one. We could potentially use this thread or start a new one and build on what has been done through discogs.com. I like using that site alot but you can't separate anything by genre so you couldn't build a Grime discography through it.

Any interest out there? Anyone with the archival impulse?

wow cool thread!

to add my 5c. The beat for "Bastard" was (correct me if I'm wrong) by Geeneus.

Just trying to figure out what is what with a load of white label grime... Does anybody know if "Skydiver" is a Wiley tune (certainly sounds like him) - the matrix number is just SKYDIVER.

Also does anybody know who is responsible for "BUBBLES - ROLL DEEP ENTOURAGE"?

PS BROKEMAN - did you finish your Grime discography?

never got anywhere close! i had NO idea how big the project would get until i started to wrap my head around even just a few label catalogues.

i still go on little posting binges on discogs.com and lobby them for genre-specific searches (which is all i wanted anyway!) and i have an excel file with a lot of catalogue numbers etc that i add things to as i come across tracks on eBay.

would still love to collaborate with someone on building a bigger database. let me know and we can start swapping Excel files!

need some clarification here:

on Sidewinder, should it be listed as Wiley feat. Ruff Sqwad or Roll Deep feat. Ruff Sqwad? I think the entry on Discogs should be edited.

Also, on the B Side for that one, "Tragedy", that's a straight up Ruff Sqwad track right? Was Wiley involved with that one at all?

Logan?

Actually these aren't self-released. When I got So Amazing it was a white label, and when another crew DJ got You Ain't Real it was also white.

I find out now that So Amazing/Eski Boy and You Ain't Real/Carnival 2 were released on Southside, and Avenger/Flat Derek on Dumpvalve.

Nevermind.

Vice Versa B-Side

Does anyone know the title (if it even has one) of the B-side to Kano's Boys Luv Girls? Its an excellent sino-grime piece that I assume is a Jammer production.

what do people think of the new wiley instrumentals? 'north london;, 'pump up tone up', ' 'last year' even 'babylon burner'? i'm not getting that 'wow' factor that every new wiley instrumental had for me two years ago or so...

his MCing is better than ever, but has that come at the expense of his productions?

North London = Babylon Burner

I agree with the fact that his beats aren't completely blowing me away, however I like Babylon Burner (as a real grime tune to be mixed in during a set) and the instrumental for chance us and the instrumental for that 6 min diss track.....
Someone said they reckoned that he is saving the best ones for his album, which makes sense to me (although it's only a guess).

More untitleds...

I'm probably showing how anal I am here that it bothers me that I don't know

the names of tunes but can anybody supply the titles of the two tracks on the

B-side of Ruff Sqwad's Pied Piper (the original instrumental version). Track

B2 is this kind of artcore sounding tune similar to Terror Danjah's Juggling'.
Also, does anybody know the titles of the tunes on Jammer's 'Hard Times EP'?
