I keep wondering why did the democrats and remain not use this stuff. Were they just too naive, didn't happen to have some "visionaries" on their team? Or were they too scrupulous? Or did they use that stuff and it isn't reported because it's a liberal consumerist conspiracy?

Yes Obama campaign did for example. But I think the right have used it more viciously, more willing as they are to appeal to the base instincts to get the job done
