35) Walt J - Ascender B2

This is my favourite track on this housey EP because of the sliding pads. Always took that sound to be the sound of cars driving past, doing donuts and stuff like that.

37) Paul Damage - Tina Never Had a Teddy Bear (Blue Leader Mix)

The last few tracks, mid 90s Detroit stuff is my home listening, daytime stuff a lot of the time. This is more like how techno sounded to me when I used to go out. I'll put some harder stuff on but this is a good place to start, on HOG records, because of the 'phaser' sound on the drums it made for a good track to mix with Stardancer.

38) Subhead - Mile High Club

I seem to picking out a lot of B sides, no real reason, just the way it's coming out, this is a B1 on a Subhead EP. Don't know much about Subhead but think they had some links to Cristian Vogel, and the track is wonky, disjointed and bassy.

39) Cristian Vogel - Heartfelt

Speaking of Cristian Vogel. Beginning To Understand was always a favourite LP for me. I love the alien bass noises.

40) Surgeon - 9 Hours into the Future

I'll probably choose some other Surgeon tracks later on, trying to stop overloading the list with the same producers by picking one track from each. Another great LP this one, and this melodious number, though I've never heard Surgeon actually play it, it is a bit of a banger.

41) Rue East - Birmingham (Bens Sims Hardgroove mix)

Here's what I call a floorfiller track, midnight dancefloor track, and also quite glowing. The Surgeon mix is also great but I'll choose the Ben Sims mix. Great title to the track too, sounds like the Bull Ring or the new library.

42) James Ruskin - Correction Centre

If there's such a thing as a roller in techno this could be it, Mills-eqsue loopy techno.

43) Speedy J - De Orbit

Some tracks age better than others, this one a bit anthemic, but listening to it again is like tasting fine wine.

44) 69 - Desire

I haven't posted any Carl Craig tracks yet. And there's a load I could have chose, but this is a big old one.

45) Underground Resistance - The Final Frontier

Getting a bit anthemic and obvious now. Makes for a more boring list. But as it kind of fits with the last couple of tracks, this is next on the playlist.

46) Jeff Mills - If (We)

This vocal track is my pick of Mills Purpose Maker stuff. Typical pulsey Mills techno but with an ethereal scat vocal.

47) Brother from Another Planet - Intertwined Forms

Another producer I could pick numerous tracks from, when I want pure sci fi in techno I can always turn to Claude Young. This track is like you've turned down the wrong alley in a futuristic science fiction city.

49) Oliver Ho - Evolution B1

I choose this track because I like the vocal snippet. "My Lover?" Staggered and trippy 'tribal' techno that could be mixed with dancefloor anthems like Surgeon's La Real.

50) Jerome - Overtones

Shimmering, kind of Basic Channel-eqsue, but by no means a clone. I'm halfway there, probably have to get away from Detroit stuff to more acidic, Birmingham and Dub techno to fill the rest of the list.

51) Kenny Larkin - Aurora

There's always room for more Detroit when there's tunes like this though. Quite an agile roller of a tune.

52) Vainqueur - Elevation (Version 1)

Bit of a change of vibe to dub techno and where better to start than a Chain Reaction track. This one sounds like a broken and haunted old string machine.

53) STL - Nite Train

I've spoken before on here about my like of Stephan Laubner in a techy house context but this one is a techno night train to somewhere sinister, Hades or somewhere.
