@thirdform our guru mentioned "how is the sound of having too many tabs open" a long while back, but it's stuck in my mind... and i think lag would be one answer.

Lag is even more of a thing as we move more of our stuff online, a fact of life as the internet demands more and more from our devices and bandwidth, we're always chasing a bigger connection,

I can think of a few woozy type sounds where the beats fall out of sync then joinup again, that sort of thing creates an impatience and a satisfaction when the rhythm re-syncopate, apologies for my weak attempts to explain. clarify please @sadmanbarty

some terms that should probably go in the "gamers" thread, but lag or lack of it used to be used as insults on gaming servers ( might be still ):

fucking HPB ( high ping bastard )

often countered by the witty riposte:

fucking LPB ( low ping bastard )
