I dance. I used to breakdance back in high school, but it's so cliche to do all these fancy moves. Now all I do is just move my lower body and do James Brown impersonations.

Of course, at indie shows, I just bob my head up and down. No one really dances at those, unless it's some post-punk band or someone signals a circle pit.

i used to always dance, especially ages 18 through 22

(indeed i blame my love of dancing for my lack of dj skills)

now i'm increasingly self-conscious -- somehow seems unbecoming when you're 30-ish

my general rule is that i dance at loft or warehouse parties, but not in so-called dj bars
