Anyone else a fan? I'm not into all their movies (M.McDonaugh's American ones, 7 Psychopaths and Three Billboards) but I REALLY like In Bruges, The Guard, and Calvary – and I'm looking forward to this one...


Quite prepared to be told they're doing some sort of Irish form of blackface (they have Irish parents but they grew up in London).

Anyway, I find their films (at their best) funny and sometimes moving and most importantly they employ Brendan Gleeson, the best actor in the world apart from Tom Cruise.

I worked with a pleasant chap who was also an unquestionable normie and he told me In Bruges was the worst film he'd ever seen.

Now, at the time I marked him down as a philistine (the worst film ever?) but perhaps he applied his normie vision to it and saw that the Emperor had no clothes
