Why is he such a famed screenwriter? I've seen Somewhere in the Night recently and that gives me a clue, but haven't seen anything else for years so can't remember!

Actually the story of All About Eve was inspired by a friend of my grandmothers, while they were at an acting studio together in NYC. Apparently the real-life Eve (I forget her real name) was known for her histrionics.

there was a band of the same name, famous for their disastrous Top of The Pops performance

( I may have referenced this in my music of the illuminati thread, which I'm intending to revive, but research lead me down some dark paths )
