Have you all read that description of Barry macs poetry weekend thing he organised when he got pissed up and swore at everyone?

yeah i think there was a divide between the academic oxbridge lot and the hairy bohemians and it all kicked off

Yeah prynne was there was he? I read it in some poetry pamphlet stapled together thing by sinclair. Barry macs later years sound pretty heavy

Someone else has written a pretty decent book about the 70s poetry revival scene and how they kept having scraps and could never get on with one another.

I've always found it odd that there was a big scene in Newcastle.
