Why should we read mason & dixon?

I really liked it. It reads like a sprawling 18th century buddy movie. And the discussion of the dangers of carving up the land, drawing lines, is particularly relevant at this moment.

Have you read Fup by Jim Dodge? Thats a good book about a duck

Mason & Dixon remains on the shelf, i will try again one day

Does the duck talk? There's a talking dog, but I don't remember the duck talking. Just obsessively following that French chef and flying so fast it goes invisible. Think it's supposed to be based on this;

I liked the pickled ear in the jar that stiffens up and listens to you. Also, the bit where Mason gets stuck in the missing days of the calendar. There's that strange bit where Dixon does some sort of trick to flip that bathtub on its end and move it with ease too, says something about hidden geometries.
