When was the last time music gave you goosebumps?

Does it still happen?

I can't even remember - it must be 30+ years.

when unheard pieces open up the qualia of their compositional map to you for the first time, glorious yet brief few seconds where the song/track/choon registers and you transcend - the threshold between not knowing a song and subsequently falling in love with it and any/all physiological-neurological-psychic responses

my other half would say Joni Mitchell or rocksteady

you could extend the above to all the music you haven’t even heard yet which may afford similar responses

singing with old mates at the football even if attendances have dropped off in recent years, ie to sing this old soul new (not spoken), moments which breakthrough when eg “this is the day that we win away” from a huge condensed wave of green Hoops erupting on the metro in a city like Rome into a behemoth-sized slaughtered choir

with drugs obviously but 99.999999% in the past, they don’t make plain tracks interesting but they can turn a transcendental piece into a porthole in space-time no words or language can capture, eg

never knowingly listened to Burial as stated before, so admittedly a bit ‘picky’
