What about Sublow? Ive seen stuff labelled as such online, and when i hear it, i love it. its got the basslines that i originally assumed grime referred to.

Great tune. I loved them when that came out, we would play that and 'throw your guns in the air', that was definitely some proto crunk shit, lotta shouting and moshing. Interestingly they were actually down with the New York Hardcore scene, and would give shoutouts to groups like Crown of Thorns and Madball on hiphop award shows. I think they were down with Biohazard as well, I think they were the biker dudes in one of the videos. Their single from their second album was good too but a more understated "..cuz the angers inside a me" thing. The beat is a classic though.
