I thought about including a caveat concerning the appalling soundtrack in the blurb but then decided that the majestic images really speak for themselves and anyone annoyed by the music will just turn it off and enjoy the stunning visuals without sound. To be honest, I find it somewhat petty-minded to dismiss the entire video just because of the shitty soundtrack. After all, this is
real footage, not some fake CGI lift-off sequence from a cheesy Sci-Fi movie. Is our perception so accustomed to movie-like artificiality that we recognise the sublime only when it comes with properly chosen music? Anyhow, I suggest to just mute the original soundtrack and play the video with something like
Ben Frost's "Theory of Machines". That should work.
