Did anybody make it to the FWD 10th birthday on Saturday?

The sets were excellent - particularly Youngsta and Kode 9 - but the sound was a bit of a joke. Ridiculously echoey warehouse vibes and not enough sub. I would've thought that of all people FWD would get that right...?

A visit to dubstepforum tells me that absolutely nobody else thought this was an issue...I'm just looking for some vindication really so I don't feel like the world's stickiest stick in the mud.

yes, i was there, had a fantastic time, amazing to hear all those beats again and reflect on what Rinse & FWD have built. agree about the sound too sadly, though it got better and worse at different times - echoy and toppy when not so good. marcus nasty's set was particularly sonically bad - shame as i love his music.

Brilliant night. Very inspirational. And Oneman's take on 2010 was sublime at times.

But yeah, the sound was bad, although it partly depended on where you were standing.

yeah it definitely improved when the room filled out, bodies absorbing some of the slapback I guess. And it's a testament to the music that I still lost my shit a few times

Marcus Nasty's set was a total eardrum buster...as you say real shame as the tune selection was excellent.

Have to agree also on the sound, though its always going to be the case in a place that size unless you're putting a massive system like irration steppas or something in there.

Was still a good night though, Kode 9 was the highlight for me

Y'see, to me the point is not whether DSF hate skrillex or not, it's why they hate him aka how can someone who did nothing to build dubstep nor adds anything to even recent stadium variants of it, come to be it's biggest figurehead?
