Radio 4 news - 'dumbing down'?

anyone else noticed this with the news bulletins of late? there seems to be a more chatty, 'informal' approach going on ('so and so went to find out' > 'i'm standing next to...' etc), on a similar par to the presenting style and journalism in television news at the moment...

agh, why is this? please, not on radio 4! it's highly irritating!

That's nothing.

Watch today's Channel 4 news about 40 mins in and you'll see a piece on MPs' expenses titled "parlimentary expenses".

mms

sometimes
i listened to radio one's news today and they played a phone conversation to the police from some one who found that poor goth girl who was murdered. It described in graphic detail her state too, which was all just grotesque and totally tasteless, i've only listened to radio one twice this year but i think it's probably run by real cunts on alot of coke.
