technics pitch control knackered

if you blast compressed air (ie air horn canister) into the pitch slider it knocks out all the dirt, same works with crossfaders. you can also calibrate the speed by taking the platter off and fiddling with the master pitch knob underneath. me and my mates did it to his back when we played nada but 140bpm plus tresor/tortured techno, you can change it up to about +15. loads of online vids now i expect, it was done on a wing and a prayer after luke slater mentioned it in an interview back then
