Hahah. i heard he and mr de fell out a few years ago, might have been something to do with that i dunno.. that's possibly old news now.

i think mr de wrote pretty much all of his good tunes (probably not the lyrics which are funny in parts). check mr de's (or dé's) solo album 'electrofunkysh*t', its not a mix, but its pretty good detroit soul / funk / techno influenced ghetto music.

DJ Nasty, DJ Assault, DJ Godfather, DJ Funk are ones to check if you're after other super fast/obscene ghetto DJ mixes. Also for Detroit/Chicago ghetto tip seek out releases on Dance Mania, Twilight 76, (by) DJ Deeon, (by) Erik Travis, Databass, Electrofunk, Assault Rifle... thats a start anyway. Check Rod Lee, K Swift, DJ Technics, Scottie B etc for the Baltimore style stuff.

As far as mixes... heres a couple ghetto ones which you might not have come across yet:

Bitch Ass Darius - Follow The Sound:
http://ohheavenlydog.blogspot.com/2008/05/bitch-ass-darius.html
(or here for a muso style critique on it, e.g.
"As I grew more affectionate of the recording, I became more literate in its governing logics. This change happened with the same slow haze that enshrouds the acquisition of any new language. Meaning and distinction emerge from the undifferentiated whole as the gradual process of Platonic recollection plays out." nice beard mate.)

Also this Starski and Clutch mix sounds decent

Starski & clutch produce as well as mix. Some of it I like quite a bit.

and I love that Todd "SoundMurderer" Osborn is involved

if you find any dj mixes by the late disco d - esp one recorded live in paris which is killer - those are well worth picking up.

Also stuff by detroit in effect is really fun but no dirty words.

Detroit In Effect:
"Are you married?
Are you occupied?
You got kids?
How about HIV?"

borderline i suppose.. :)

Yeh Starski and Clutch are more producers than DJs... i think they've only had 2 or 3 releases though (lots of other solo projects & other collaborative projects).

This hyperspeed b-beat girls sampling track used to get played a fair bit up northways
