I dunno about unassailable but it was certainly a stroke of genius to cover their faces with paint. Wonder how often Mick Jagger looks forlornly in the mirror and thinks about how he could still be pretending he was the beautiful sex God of his youth if only he'd painted a cat mask on his face. OK, maybe not the cat, that one is lame.
They did fuck it up a bit by getting fat though. Probably should have made a fake body or something as well for that eventuality.

I've never been able to enjoy their music, but I reckon the whole spectacle of seeing them play live in their prime would have been quite something.
