The French directed , downtown late '70's -early '80's no budget 8mm movie docu
had it's last screening at Tribeca Film Fest. last night.
It's actually pretty good on the subject.
Covers a good deal of ground -from Jack Smith to Scott & Beth B, Eric Mitchell,
Jim Jarmusch and everyone in between (Mike Oblovitz).
And then goes on to cover the Richard Kern , Nick Zedd 'Transgression' 'ers.
Fun to see all the makers' works again - clips may be the best way to view these old flicks, as most are not really worth seeing in entirety . Ooops ! Ok I said it.
Lots of music filling the frames; Of course the No wave crew,
Implog's Holland Tunnel Dive rocks early on, Liquid Liquid , Ike Yard , Live Skull and many more .
Kudos to Dan Selzer from Acute Records and Dan & Josh Braun Exec Prod.
(x Circus Mort ! )
How's James Chance doing these days ? scroll down for pic.

Meanwhile , in another orbit, Jim Jarmusch has his new one out.
Dig that Wm Burroughs ref. ( one for the 'Addiction' thread ) and the soundtrack is by ...
