the first one is ridiculous alright. The second one seems to be on a more solid foundation legally speaking as it was directed against an individual and could be seen as a personal threat.
As I understand, it was made in the context of a response to a radio interview in which YAB said people in the west had no right to criticise stoning in Muslim countries cos it's not their culture. It wasn't just some random threat plucked out of nowhere.
