that AWW YEAH sample has ruined so many great songs from that period, thank fuck in 2020 we don't all have to rely on the same shitty sample pack

I have a backlog of TOTP to catch up with, now they've hit 1990 and the songs are starting to resemble the music I grew up with I think it's going to be lots of fun

I also noticed a sample used in 'Cold Fresh Air' by Higher Sense on that one.

They also played 'Natural Thing' by Innocence on the same episode...

i've been caning that broadway sound one that bang diddley put up in the car. it's so good. this mellow roll and the guy starts saying "original gun in the hand" cos of course it's peak gunchester times.

it's sort of the massive attack vibe i guess, it's derivations of that. all those vocals sound so good now tho, cos it feels like those voices are gone? i dunno?

strong beat and ethereal vocals - i'm in heaven with that sound

no i don't think i heard that specific one actually - i've got that "story of a sound system" soul ii soul one somewhere, the one with the beautiful cover of "sunshine" on it. and i got the milo one of wild bunch early days....
