I'd agree, I'd say engineering/technics is applied where science is pure, analogous to some degree to how magic is applied where gnosis is pure. The quadrants of knowledge, if you like.

It seems like once the expectation of errorlessness is disrupted, errors are rendered benign. But in my case its not so crisp a threshold. There are relapses and reversions, albeit on timescales exponentially finer than the example you gave.

Here is a other critical point where you may agree with me.

I don't believe in looking up to other humans.

Where and when a role model is needed, project some hypothetical and more advanced version of yourself, but in as dispensable and pragmatic a way as possible. Thats my current tactic anyway.

I think there is something to learn from every human, some having been more graced, as it were, than others. But to model oneself after other humans, as that meme implies to me, is a mistake. Its looking outside for what has been inside the whole time.

Looking up to other humans, to me, constitutes a tacit contract of redundancy, a commitment to do what has already been done, and less purely as it would only be a replication.

I envision a community of singular beings who inform and draw inspiration from one another, but who at the end of the day aim their own way.

tempermentally i dont. but on a pragmatic level there have been humans ive known that manifested this or that quality i envied and i modelled it and basically 'stole it' and made it mine.

Fine to learn from people and model components of you after those of them, but if you see what I think you see, then you should also see that they aren't between you and it.
