I actually admire those aspirations to a degree, wanting to carve out a little audience for exactly what you have to say, what you are good at, etc.

Its a horrible trend

Good to hear, haven't looked into it. Perhaps there are some auditing firms out there who can provide the public some assurance that the data really has been deleted.
