glastonbury has always been radio 6 music festival, noone goes to see acts there, you can't hold 3000 acts in your head let alone have enough limbs to get to the stages on time. tiresome.

i mean look as you said Luke is the most populist person on here so he says all this now but watch when he's actually there he'll say how its the greatest place in the world and how he can feel the pre-Christian energies coursing through his veins

When I used to go to glastonbury the music was important to me to some extent but too sound like a cringey cliche it was mostly about the viiiibe maaaan. I.E. Just take loads of drugs and stumble around the fields trying not to bump into any nudists

they claim that there are over 3,000 'acts' on over the weekend, and apart from d&b there's not a lot that i want to see. not that surprising when you consider who books the stages and who goes to the festival. any recs? before you check, autechre aren't playing

The best thing about Glastonbury is wandering around at random though and seeing great stuff you've never heard of before. I wouldn't sweat it about the big acts - they're usually on the Pyramid stage and it's not that different from any big gig. The best stuff in that which is around the edges.

It's just the scale. It's like a small town. It's always a pain walking back to the tent and then down to the fields again but there's this relentless parade of entertaining nonsense going on. You could spend 3 days there and not bother seeing any of the big acts. Pretty sure I've done this in the past.
