@sus
one year when I was in Tokyo I ended up buying this 'kawaii' deck - I have no idea of it's real name, but here is the box cover if anyone can translate, for now I'll refer to it as the 'kawaii plus' deck
I "ummed and ahhed" due to some Scottish gene but as I was unlikely to ever to see this for sale ever again I plumped
here is a cute tower:
despite my agonising prevarications due to the thought of actually spending money, I would still place this in the category of "impulse buy
which provides a seque to another impulse buy - I was paying for birthday presents for a friend in a bookshop and just before the staff revealed the grand total I noticed a glass case by the counter and my eye was drawn to this box and the words just came out of my mouth, "can I have that as well?"
CTHULHU DARK ARTS TAROT
I keep meaning to track down a copy of the H.R. Giger NECRONOMICON TAROT but either availability or budget has thwarted me, so I thought this might be a 'stopgap' deck, but I was disappointed by the artwork
anyway, in contrast to the 'kawaii plus' deck, here is a 'dark arts' interpretation of THE TOWER.
I prefer the 'kawaii plus' deck, you can see what is going on, the cards are easy to shuffle ( despite the unnecessary glossy stock ) , comes in a nice sturdy box, although it does not contain a LWB which doesn't matter because I wouldn't be able to read it anyway, and the backs are truly reversible
( EDIT: on reflection, there is a touch of the BURZUM / Lords of Chaos to the 'dark arts' depiction of the tower )
the 'CTHULHU dark arts' cards are oversized and the backs are half-arsed reversible, you can tell up from down if you know what to look for like with marked cards
