The trump administration has banned the use of hundreds of words. These include "woman," "sex," "LGBT," and "antiracism" - NYT The list of 200 undesirable words was published by the New York Times. They included: "woman," "man," "antiracism," "discrimination," "feminism," "gender," "gender-based violence," "inclusivity," "LGBT," "nonbinary," "trauma," "victim." But also Black, Native American. Nowadays, these words should be avoided in official structures and on government websites.

I refer you to an earlier assessment of your gullibility as regards incarceration.

The NYT published that list in that it just published a normal edition of the NYT and those are the only words it ever uses anyway.

It sounds like they're gonna do roughly what the French do.

It's also gonna be massively overstated as everyone will be sour about losing their work, which will make it hard to believe and so it won't have any effect. For example, the NPR article you linked to claims there will be quote "a million million tragedies that could have been avoided". A million million is a trillion which is 100x bigger than the population of the world, so there will be roughly 100 tragedies per world citizen. That one claim torpedoes the entire article's credibility.

It's currently stopped. What we're worried about is it restarting. Unless you think war involves having a nice dinner with all of your chums while absolutely nothing dangerous happens around you. If that's war maybe Trump should push for war in Ukraine.
