The early EP's on Rough Trade still hold a lot of magic for me, Extended Play is still one of my favourites.

Sensoria (has to be the 12" version of course) was one of those records that totally kicked me out of my indie based comfort zone - and has been in my top 5 records ever since. top 5. even 20 years later i would still say that opening 30 seconds sends genuine shivers down my back.
before Sensoria i had started to dabble with noise-n-dance beats via On-U Sound and Foetus experiments, but a random purchase of that 12", and that was it - i was hooked.
agree re that compilation - that was exactly my era for CV.
and weirdly RHK's recent stuff that i have managed to track down, has once again revised my listening patterns. so much so, that i think in the last 6-12 months i have listened to more ambient-techno styled music than anything else.
of course, this could be all down to a certain record label not too far from this very thread. but i aint kissing and telling.
oh, and does the film contain anything about CHAKK/FON then - as that label definitely changed my life, but thats another story.

No it doesn't, but I believe they are making Part 2 now. Lets home the cover some more of the important stuff.
Chakk and Hula where ace bands and FON was a great studio, we had a practice room two doors down from it, Pulp two doors up and a very young Naz training over the road. The place was a total dump and the caretaker was a friend of Javis's.
