Saturday night in the city of the dead !

JG Ballard Project moves into Monkeytown for one night , 10:30 seating only.

Atrocity Exhibition Chapter 1 . 20m Music & video; with artists Adrienne Altenhaus ,
Le Le Chan , Robert Longo , Andrew Moszynski , David Silver , Patrick Quick* ,
Vivian Wong and Stephanie Wuertz.

* Patrick is flying over from Perth, supplying CG and video processing ( Dissensus crew )

With respect to the original text, we try to set up a double story line; one leg in the 'late '60's when Ballard wrote Atrocity Exhibition, one leg set in the now.

with more to come from Outpost in association with Ballardian.

Progress !

Whew , Patrick's ( rivet90210 ) arrived from down under and is sitting at cafe on 3rd and First Ave.
He's got a laptop loaded with our cg video for "Time,Memory and Inner Space" and much more.
We're about to meet up and start chunking in video for the groups set Saturday night.
What a day, possibly our 'Indian Summer' = 66F and sunny.

And word's come down from the highest court that our landlords are guilty as charged ,
overcharging rent on new tenants while getting tax breaks from the city at the same time.
They got caught and now served some justice.

Going to roll one and sit on the sun ...

The first edition went down pretty well , glad - and tired to say.

' CMJ has been going on at the same time as the WFMU record fair. I'm working at the fair every day so I have yet to make it to any of the CMJ shows but I was able to catch a mindblowing non-CMJ related band late last night in Brooklyn: Outpost. think Joy Division, early 70s avant-electronic music, very moody, edgy, experimental and otherwordly. Completely mesmerizing. '

The videos worked well, the place was just about sold out, lots of ladies came out
and the vodka was good too !

We will work on some new mixes of the 2 main pieces ( Atrocity Exhibition and Time, as read by David Silver and Memory and Inner Space as read by Judy Nylon ) and get audio bits up on Simon Sellars Ballardian asap

Next stop- probably Resonance FM
