listened to the black bin bag him remix over and over again and it clicked in the end. totally brought 'badman' to life for me as well, wasnt feeling it before but listening to it differently now. vocals have a way of doing that to tunes..

@glasshand, dont see nothing wrong with the vid. vibezing beats unrealistic posturing from guys barely over 10 stone any day. admittedly bucket hat guy looks like hes been up all night smoking white however haha, but ehhhh, who are we to judge? :)

i'm confused now, did blazey just put the acapella from that one ^ over his track and sync the video?

when i said the vid i meant the vid+tune, the whole thing. juz thought it was cringey and bars were quite weak, but the vibe makes more sense seeing that one.

Blazey stuck one of his (and Hugo's?) tunes under that grime tune, sounded sick IMO Marcus Nasty was feeling it too. But Aaron Vybe e.g. was saying he loves grime but doesn't want grime x deep tech which is totally understandable.

Your PMs are full trilliam but I'm following you now. Been a bit dormant on tumblr lately mainly due to shitty laptop. I'd like to get back on it (or WordPress) but I need a Mac first really (sane goes for Logic). I'll check your tumblr as much as possible though.

"This content is currently unavailable"

what was it, "Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes (deep tech MC vocal mix)"?

Just a cheeky refix of a Grim Sickers Black Bin Bag him remix.

It will never be seen again.

2 Djs have it - Marcus Nasty and Brackles.

Infact, Brackles played it on his last Rinse show, at the start of his Deep Tech segment.

The feedback was quite mixed tbh, some people actually loving it, to people despising it (mostly due to the 'omg mcs on House' thing) - which I guess is understandable and one of the reasons why the video/audio vanished (it was due to be uploaded to SBTV aswell).

I am not looking to cause any upset, I'm happy with the way Deep Tech is right about now, however, I think there needed to be a bit of experimentation to shake up shit a little bit/provoke some thoughts.

Yo yo, Sorry Not Sorry for the Shameless Self Promotion™ buuuuuuut

Thought this would be the spot to announce my new project with my good mate Frankie,
House Not House Records
https://www.facebook.com/housenothouserecords

The idea to do a label actually morphed out of the idea to do a blog - which is incoming in the next couple of weeks - which would post about all things deep tech and UK house from think pieces to interviews and articles and shuffling videos and just digging up the big tunes ala what the It Hz' guys have been doing so well in the UK, but posting entirely bilingually in English and Japanese.

I'd been in talks with a number of deep tech producers who've been interested in doing some original tracks with a Japanese twist - sampling from old Japanese records or films or videos games - to give away on the blog, and that kind of got me thinking that it we were getting into the business of putting out original music, why not just go the whole way and make a label? There's so much wicked music out there, so many talented artists just coming up now, and when you look at the massively slap-dash way a lot of these labels do things, it seemed like the music was there and it would be possible to do it well and a bit different you know?

Anyway, first up is an absolutely wicked collection of tracks from Karlton Phillips, who you probably all know from his bits for It Hz. The guy's mad talented, got wicked ideas, and still very much learning, and I think he's going to be a very special producer in not much time at all. Been a real pleasure working with him, shooting ideas back and forth trying to make it a debut release to be proud of.

The reaction so far seems to be that Chain Hang is the one, but I absolutely love what he's done with the VIP of Is It, and know that I personally would be getting very #emotional if anyone dropped You & Me in the rave.

Anyway, feedback mad appreciated and I'll just say could you plz like the facebook page and follow the soundcloud plz thnx.
It's no secret that I would have never got involved with this music were it not for dissensus, so big up yourselves really!

got in quite late, sometime around 2, an then spent a good half hour at the bar getting the water & beers in. so it was main room for arun verone & lance morgan>x5 dubs>back in the main room for majesty & steven cee. kinda flew by and i did a bit too much mandy'd up wandering around during verone's set.

i've been to the coronet twice now, first time was for audiowhore at the end of may last year. both times the vibe in there has been like a festival, it's pretty mad and def gets u in the mood for some craziness. people smoking zoots and shit indoors and the security don't seem to give a fuck, lotta people shotting, sweat drippin off the roof in the upstairs rooms and the staircases, the place lookin like an absolute mess, really busy right up until 6. the crowd last night seemed pretty similar to AW. maybe a bit less hood in that i didn't see anyone with actual hoods up, fewer big groups of dudes trying to look menacing, and way more shapes bein cut than i remember from AW. i saw a few guys doing some absolutely mad footwork towards the end of the night. think i saw kerry kels down the front in the main room too. overall slightly better vibes.

in terms of the tunes, things are a bit of blur now... this has been bouncin round my head this morning, the whole place went absolutely MENTAL as per when it dropped

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/t5xwnsOZztA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

most of majesty and steven cee's set was hard, some really nice blends and i really like the way majesty's goin with tracks like the one and drummin, even if he did bite that horribly (altho now i think about it im not sure if he actually played drummin in the main room or if it was someone upstairs or both). his selection is more on the straight tech house side of things now but im all for it. the reason i say only most of it was hard is that if i never hear that such a rush track again it will be way too soon.. and there were a few tracks in his set like that which have just been battered. in fact i feel like nearly everyone i caught was guilty of drawin for some seriously rinsed out tunes. the temptation to put on an aphrodite remix just to see the place poppin shud be resisted imo. don't feel that i should be so sick of hearing certain tunes already (eg little man remix) having only been to about 5 raves with this kinda lineup. maybe i was too lost in the dizz but i don't think i had many wtf is this tune moments. x5 dubs did smash it tho, the upstairs room was really busy for his set and energy levels were xtremely high.

that description u gave of audiowhore sounds exactly like one of music box in ron hardys day, wonder how many ppl would lose their rag if someone actually write that though

more cutting less fights sounds perfect man pissed i didnt go although i know theres gonna be live audio probs by this time next week, house of silk are wicked for that. lookin at audio rehab but the line up does nothing for me tbh

lol @ the bait tunes complaint, 100 percent with u, rele n truly im only pissed i missed louie anderson b2b nightshift and cotier b2b b3 who it seems u missed too, guarantee their sets r gonna be the best out of the uploads.
