i've been through a few recently. Some observations:

Often graffiti at the edges, but none inside.

Under motorways and train tracks.

Glistening walls due to water runoff, which reflects the trees and leaves, therefore green slime feel

Films in tunnels, they tend to be horror
  • there's one about the Paris catacombs
  • another about a group of women potholers who encounter murderous troglodytes
  • and isnt there one about tunnels under a mayan temple and hapless tourists?
  • one brit fillum about an older being underneath a church which ends up with the protagonists getting claustrophobicly digested by the hill iirc
  • there's one appalling yugoslav film about the war and a train tunnel i think, probably the only one worth watching

he's staked out the entire Underworld as his conceptual territory and this is a trepass upon his domain. he won't be happy.

i was thinking of starting a thread called 'suggestions' and it would be things like - could we be on a shift rotation, so we all get to hang out with each other. this would necessitate you, luka, agreeing to do a few graveyard shifts, 3-7am. and version would have to do the 10am-2pm shift

i used to do a lot of graveyard shifts at the time when i had a massive drug stash. recently ive been recovering from having had a massive drug stash so no more graveyard shifts.

I caught this by accident late on Ch4 one night a long time ago. I think it's just called 'Underground'. Really liked it. It gets heavily magic-realist towards the end, IIRC.
