Once the new member is befriended, out come the wacky conspiracy theories, the cult line on sex and so on.
Oh shit. This happened to me in Vermont, with something called the yellow submarine club or something

These actions angered the emperor, who had Erasmus enclosed in a barrel full of protruding spikes and rolled down a hill. An angel healed him from these wounds.

When he was recaptured, he was brought before the emperor and beaten and whipped, then coated with pitch and set alight (as Christians had been in Nero's games), and still he survived. Thrown into prison with the intention of letting him die of starvation, Erasmus managed to escape.

He was recaptured and tortured in the Roman province of Illyricum, after boldly preaching and converting numerous pagans to Christianity. Finally, according to this version of his death, his abdomen was slit open and his intestines wound around a windlass.

anyway hes probably still annoyed about you giving him a terrible review on goodreads and bumping his average score down by a point

Yeah, sorry about that, I wrote that review in a rush in Turkey and reading back I wasn't able to communicate the concepts I clearly wanted to. Apologise on my behalf to him, and check the re-edited review.

it's a ridiculous middle name and ive always been deeply embaressed by it but that is the entire purpose of middle names. my mum wanted to give it to me as a first name but fortunately my dad put his foot down. he wanted to call me Keith, which would have been only marginally better
