Although I do have short blond hair, I do wear sunglasses almost every day* and at times I have been somewhat overweight... . hmmm. Dammit.


*never really thought about it before but I assume that the eye colours of the Portuguese provide a lot more protection from the sun, GF and I have observed many time that the locals rarely wear sunglasses even in days where we need both them and a sunhat to operate. I think for them it's almost entirely a sartorial decision rather than requiring them for any practical need.

generally a fan of Beyonce and mid-00s r&b but this one has always left me a little cold. Her voice sounds so strained in that high register, forcing a vacant sexuality at odds with the public persona of Beyonce as being in control, even when she's playing the role of passivity. The production is quite tepid too - it's pretty much a static loop relying on that Donna Summer interpolation, only instead of sounding like starlit passion, it's having guys in cheap clothes try to grind around you in a club.
