I've asked this before on here, where is the beat? I can easily tell where an MC is meant to jump on in Garage, super fast stuff like D&B but for some reason not Grime. 2nd beat, first off beat, what is it?

Well, it's some weird remake of the Kanye "New Slaves" beat, and Kanye's rhyme placement isn't exactly representative of a perfect 'slot' for the rhymes to fall into on that beat either...
But this is my thing w/ Ghetto; it's always this invariably dense cluster of rhymes in constantly shifting patterns that can never conform to the beat, and he's basically a rapper there is no... There is no jungle, house, none of that in his psyche, it's a sea of Eminem flows overdriven and piloted by a overzealous maniac. Everything about him screams '04-'06 New York Mixtape Rapper in personality, which is why I think I get so agitated by him.
Also, when you watch the Lord Of The Mics with Napper, he obviously loses because I think only Kano can even understand what he's doing at a certain point, whereas no matter how INFINITELY BASIC Napper is, he understands that there's a crowd dynamic and never gets to into "HA! WATCH HOW I DO THIS INCREDIBLE FLOW AND USE DEEP SIMILES (NOT METAPHORS, TOO BRIGHT TO SAY THAT CLICHE) THAT THREE YEARS FROM NOW YOU LOT WILL THINK 'THAT WAS INCREDIBLE!'."

barely post these days but felt compelled to say that august mix by slackk is pretty sick. was expecting some overly pretty/finnicky 'post-grime' type tracks that i dont really like but this stuff is great.

i told Bloom i didn't like that remix when i first heard it but in a few sets it's worked. The loved up vocal tune was a welcome relief contrasted against the rest. Must get to boxed and jamz when i get paid!
