    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

Sun Ra is defo before Kraftwerk on the synth side because he got one of the first demo Moog's in 69 I believe. Electronics is more confusing term in music really because you could if you wanted go back to 1857 with that term.

    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

Aye, I think this is the crux of what Zhao is driving at, more the press position of Kraftwerk.

    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk didn't and don't see themselves as a techno band, Ralf has spoken about techno in a couple of places and spoke about it being an important phase of electronic music. Let me see if I can find the piece.

    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

This is similar to something Mad Mike said, he always talked about Kraftkerk not being a colour, race or age, that the music somehow transcend all of that.

That you can't answer your argument by being angry or in two paragraphs. Out of interest, do you think you exploit afro-america music/imagery and people to promote yourself?

    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

I think it depends which period you're talking about.

    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

Nope, that's not what I'm saying at all, that's simply your own projection to suit your own ends. How do you make these massive leaps over just two sentences or are you just trolling?

    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

I think it's a poorly researched article but when Kraftwerk themselves have stated more than once that they ARE influenced by black music, they've told me themselves that they where but I've also heard how Mad Mike and Shake came to Kraftwerk via Mojo so the story is more interesting than the...

    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

You see, I'm not calling bullshit. Not sure how you jumped to that conclusion but you don't have to be so angry all the time and I mean that with respect. Maybe your not angry at all but for some reason that's the way I read it, happy to be wrong. There's a thing journalist's do in techno, it's...

    the Afro-American Roots of Kraftwerk

I think I'd love to hear you in the same room as Shake and Mad Mike, I also think you take short "Derrick May" statements to the press out of context and suit them to your own agenda.

    Whitehouse

Always the case when you choose not to explain things and hang about for three decades with people who love Himmler, think Triumph Of Will is the best film ever and release records by right wing bands. See, the thing is some people may make the odd mistake but racists and nazis tend to keep...

    Whitehouse

Why? He's friends with a lot of the neo-folk anyway. The thing is, this isn't an isolated incident, it went on for years.

The Black Dog – Arranging & Processing Bleep. 01

We’ve always been in two minds about doing this because as much as we like the past we love the future more. However these are a few of our private edits of early Bleep & Bass tracks we made for our own pleasure. We’ve been dropping them in sets because they still make us dance and this is how...
