dislike how dominant it's become in some circles though. entire sets with nothing but boddika/addison/pearson drum-machine minimalism are really quite depressing.
this promo mix of his from last year is absolutely fantastic, highly recommended for those who haven't heard it yet

baffling that some of these tunes haven't been signed. especially love the tune at 5 mins with the squeaky little synth...
stopped listening to brackles sets in 2009, i'll check it some out though.
wasn't it the first brackles/shortstuff 12" that sort of kicked off this shimmery intelligarage thing btw?
yeah not feeling that post-"black sun"/deadboy pitchbent stuff at all. sucks the life out of your shows tbh, could say the same about oneman's sets in the past year too. damu? don't get the hype.
on the other hand that eski-funky ableton mix was on point.
i wish there was a proper anti futuregarage/faux-dubtechno/twinklestep movement but the music's a bit too polite to elicit such a reaction, isn't it? there's also the sentiment that "it's the best we've got at the moment" and "hey, at least it's not brostep".
