Armando Ianucci should write a sketch where a group of white, mid-thirties middle class people spend their dinner party having in-depth discussions about rappers with names like Young Thug and Bobby Shmurda, and how white mid-thirties middle class people are colonising the discourse around hip-hop.
I think a big reason to vote Green is to scare Labour into moving to the left (or at least not moving any further right) post-2015
As for volunteering - it's really dependent on what you want/are able to do. In my case I manage social media, write press releases and liaise with local reporters.
Will the TV debates even happen?
Hopefully this surge translates into votes anyway. I've never voted before but started volunteering for my local Green Party recently.
Manchester used to have quite a few good nights and clubs but its gone downhill massively. Soup Kitchen does the occasional good night, as does Joshua Brooks. Kraak Gallery's had some cool lineups but they barely promote them and apparently theyre dead.
The London these guys harp on about missing so much just sounds like any big Northern city.
I suspect it's just posturing though I don't think they'd actually live there.
this is definitely the case although I'd say the group of people this applies to tend to idolise a very small group of MCs (DEE, Wiley, Riko and a few others).
