    Cars

For my 40th I bought myself a BMW. Because I am a cunt.

post pictures your computer has generated ( algorithmic art )

I have some standards. Anyway, how would I compete with pixelart monkeys? I might do a set of limited prints on Etsy. Old-fashioned NFTs.

post pictures your computer has generated ( algorithmic art )

Related to this thread, but with a little more human intervention; I use an old android phone that was kicking about the house doing nothing to generate GAN landscapes online, then feed them into a glitch app to fuck them up a bit. Delete bits... keep bits... build up layers of glitched...

    The Metaverse

I don't see Zuckerberg's future catching on. At least not at the level of saturation he wants. Kids already have virtual worlds they inhabit, they are called Call of Duty, Fifa & Animal Crossing. No twee, safe space full of tacky avatars is going to take over that world of addiction and...

    The Metaverse

This is worth a read from someone who has been in this field longer than anyone else. https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2021/10/facebook-metaverse-was-always-terrible/620546/

Specsavers is dead to me. #GBNews

The man is a buffoon if he honestly didn't realise he was spawning the new Poundland version of Fox, and where that would inevitably lead. Farage was inevitable. Hopkins likely next.

An Englishman's home is his castle

I managed to score a digitised copy of The Dilapidated Dwelling that looks like it's been taken from a VHS. Terrible quality, but if anyone wants to see it drop me a line. Unlikely there will ever be an official release since it uses too much uncleared stock footage...

You are right, I take back my misguided stance.

    COINBASE for Crypto has come

I just find the concept of blaming a technology for the ills of human nature misguided. Also, I strongly suspect that buying drugs and acquiring illicit services makes up a very, very small percentage of crypto use today, the novelty of the silk road has long since worn off. Laundering money on...

    COINBASE for Crypto has come

I'm sure people found ways to do these things before crypto came along.

    The importance of "bad" music/art

Yeah. Perfect. Picking tracks in isolation and you probably could have found a Coppice Halifax track that sounded better than a Deepchord one, but I stand by this example. Deepchord, is ...deeper? There's more weaving in and out, the Tokyo samples pull you in and in the context of the album as a...

    The importance of "bad" music/art

Yes, I completely agree; it's a bell curve with the internet bringing a vast wealth of medicore to the masses. Seems stupid to still talk of pre-internet now that we are living in the future where most people weren't even born then, but label curation really kept a lot of this away from public...

    The importance of "bad" music/art

I personally spend a lot of time scouring Bandcamp and Discogs for niche and outlier releases in key genres. Obsessively hoovering up everything with a dub.techno label for example. My guilty pleasure. Sonic comfort food. As part of this journey, aside from uncovering hidden gems, you skip...

    Transfer Phenomena

I wasted my GCSE year playing the original DOOM. Non. Stop. Eventually I began to hallucinate the swaying shotgun in front of me when I got up to walk around.
