Enrico Miricone sound in recent dubstep?

Sorry I don't know specific track names. The tunes I'm talking about are overtly Moricone, there are a couple that are just like once upon a time in the west, even with gituar and wind effects on the intro. Youngster has been spinning them of late.

    The K Foundation's Peoples Pyramid?

Thanks, I feared as much. I wonder if they managed to build anything even a foundation? Maybe the time team, team might excavate this one day. Wish they had spent that £1m bricks that people could customise or sign to go into the Pyramid instead of burning it. Most People just dont happen by...

The hypnotic dance of the stoat

Yeah, never beleived this too till I saw it on tv. Another thing similar to this, I would love to know if its true. My uncle told me a about something called a 'Rook's Court', apparently sometimes a Rookery will form a circle around on of their number and put it to death as a group, like a...

    The K Foundation's Peoples Pyramid?

Does anyone remember this project? Anyone know what happened to it? The K Foundation were going to build a pyramid, made from house bricks brough in by the general public. I really liked this project but never heard anything after the initial apeal (for bricks) on tv, and hadn't thought about it...

Wow, thanks, lots to work with. Shamefully Precinct 13 is just sbt the only carpenter flik I've not seen. I've had the VHS for abt 7 years but my lack of Video (or tv for that matter) is a prob atm. I'll have to find it up on DVD and stick it in me PC.

    hotflush recordings

Yeah ust got Hotflush 6 last two weeks back. Like Sun (b side of knowlege) is like a massive sublime panorama over a whole section of the hardcore contuum. Check out, also by Toasty, Lickable and Guesswork (which is like ghosts of hardcore/ early jungle). The Toasty stuff is all brilliant.

    John Carpenter soundtracks

I was wondering if there are many prominent dance remixes/notable samples of/featuring J.C soundtracks? The Escape from New York theme always seemed perfect for a D&B version. Sure his indirect influence must be all over alot of things darkside anyhow..

    Grime-Soft Cell connection?

Thanks for clearing that up. I might have had a rather long and fruitless search on that one.

    Grime-Soft Cell connection?

Thanks, I did catch that 2 step version of tainted love, pretty good from what I remember. I dont see the comparison as ridiculous, the reason I was interested was because I had made a vague connection myself, sonicaly that is. I don't mean the vocal style or lyrics, not much chance of shout...

    Grime-Soft Cell connection?

Somebody alluded to this just once on thier blog (I think Simon Reynolds), and I was really curious to read anything more. Was this discussed in any depth among the blogs or ILM? I can't seem to find anything. Thnx

    Cybersonica 04 - 10th to 14th Nov

The Cybersonica sonic arts festival is coming up. Last year they featured Kid 606, DJ Rupture and The Bug and I managed to check out some of the interactive audiovisual instilations at the Deluxe gallery last year that were really cool, almost like the alien technology from that 50's sci-fi...

Who buys that Vanessa Mae, Bond etc.. stuff?

Maybe I'm alone here but this stuff has always really freaked me out, who buys this stuff? Beautiful women, playing classical music but its got a house beat for the kids! Surely this is a no mans land even less desirable than its WW1 namesake? The only possible market I can imagine for this...
