I was an avid Wired-reader as a teenager in the 1990s. A lot of which Wired predicted/extrapolated has become reality today. It's just it got way crappier than expected. Like everybody on the net, hand held devices as connectors, pay per view incarnated as netflix etc.

Almost exclusively in my car these days. I have a pretty good sounding Sony mp3 player too, which I - very rarely these days - use at well. Sad thing is, I have a pretty decent hifi set up which I haven't used in years out of sheer laziness (I guess).

Dubstep was prolly the most "sausage-fest-y" of any electronic music genres - together with IDM. I mean all electronic music genres were male dominated, but with techno or jungle you had at least a couple of female dJs or producers. I can't remember any female dubstep producer.
