sorry i was singing the song, not saying we should move on. i quite liked it too. it's a bit odd though innit, the quite mushy bit with the baby in particular... gialli and spag westerns do have the best titles! i watched The House with the Laughing Windows last night, pupi avati.

    Western Movies

it's a bit strange, not really like a 'normal' spag. western, or any of his other stuff that i;ve seen... although he does manage to get a rape scene and a bit of cannibalism in there the soundtrack is a right ear worm mooooooooovin onnn

    Western Movies

hmmmm... there is a degree of truth to this but i think even the uber canonical westerns of ford, mann etc are more complex and nuanced than that sort of simple black and white morality... things like man who shot liberty valance ending on a totally downbeat beat note... tom dies uncelebrated...

    Western Movies

yes i think henry s is right, there's a good quote from Warshow, westerns are "an art form for connoisseurs, where the spectator derives his pleasure from the appreciation of minor variations within the working out of a pre-established order" these little variations and re-arrangements allowing...

    Sci-Fi novels

dunno if it was what Gibson intended, but whilst reading 'Idoru' i always pictured Rez as looking exactly like Bono, sat there in his sun glasses spewing platitudes..

    Do I like dubstep?

yeah, talented and versatile guy isn't he. 16/17 were good too as i recall, and i liked the second Curse of the golden vampire LP from a couple of years ago or so, the one that was more on the metal tip. Interesting how he has had fingers in a lot of pies; dhr, the justin broadrick/godflesh...

    Alec Empire

agreed! don't know whether to put this in here or in the Shizou thread, but i think a lot of the music that came out on DHR gets a bit lost behind their stchick and exclamation marks. the early Alec Empire mentioned above Shizou Patric Catani Christophe De Babalon some of Bomb20's stuff all...

yeah, Venetian Snares & Hecate - Nymphomatriac springs to mind, although the sounds are all mutilated to the point that you can't recognise their origin anyway really.
