Barely a Medi release I don't like tbh. There are obviously a lot of pretty standard, functional dubstep tracks but all well executed enough to enjoy to me, not always buy though.

There's so so so many examples of "emotional" dance music that works I don't think its really a road worth going down.

I heard a interview with Loefah recently where he was saying how VST's/digital synths are good enough now that you don't need hardware. But he did say that getting a nice outboard compressor/pre-amp can get things sounding much nicer. Processing is key really. People slate them but Vintage...

Tried to get a job in the new Oxford one, tbh its barely a record shop but it has got some decent stuff.

Aqua Box is seriously good. But the rest of the EP. :slanted: I see what he's going for but most of it is so badly executed that its just not that enjoyable to me. The production/sound design is really shoddy, not in the "raw grime" way in the "can't be arsed" way. They are more like sketches...

Agree with you on that. Never really got why brostep has taken off so well considering the beats are so slow and sluggish. The idea of going mad and jumping around to it on pills seems quite odd. Telling also that those kind of producers have been moving more towards 150 bpm too.
